FRESH FRUIT BOWL 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 c. fresh plums, cut up
1 c. peaches, sliced
1 c. fresh nectarine, sliced
1 c. fresh pears, cut up
1 c. seedless grapes
1 c. strawberry halves

Bring sugar and water to boil; stir to dissolve sugar. Boil rapidly 5 minutes; chill well. Stir in lemon juice. Gently stir fruits into syrup. Chill and serve with cottage cheese.

Cottage Cheese Topping: 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1/3 cup finely minced watercress, and 2 teaspoon grated orange rind. Combine all ingredients and chill.
