CRANBERRY CHICKEN 
1 broiler or fryer chicken, cut up
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. diced onion
1/2 c. diced celery
1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
1 c. barbecue sauce

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and brown in skillet with the butter. Remove chicken to a greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan. In the drippings, sauté onions and celery (tender). Add cranberry sauce and barbecue sauce. Mix well. Pour over chicken.

Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours. Baste ever so often (3 times).

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
