1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening or butter, sugar, egg and peanut butter. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and mix well. Roll into balls and place in greased cookie sheet. Press down on greased cookie sheet. Press down with a fork to form criss cross marks. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes or until done. Makes about 3 dozen.
