1 c. butter
1/2 c. cream cheese
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Mix flour and salt. Combine all ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Roll 1/8 inch thick. Cut strips out of dough, 1 x 3 inches. Put cherry in center and roll. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Then roll in confectioner's sugar while cookie is hot. May use jelly instead of cherries.
