CREAMED TUNA AND PEAS ON TOAST
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 pint half & half
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
dash of onion powder (about 1/4 tsp.)
2 (5 oz. ea.) cans tuna, drained
1 (15 oz.) can peas, drained (or frozen, about 1 cup)
salt and pepper, to taste
loaf of white bread (or any type you prefer)

In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir in with butter as you would to make a roux. Cook for about 1 minute to blend butter and flour together.

Add half & half, stirring constantly with a whisk. Add milk and continue stirring over medium heat till mixture starts to thicken. Lower heat slightly but keep an eye on mixture.

Add onion powder and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add tuna after mix has thickened to desired consistency. Stir for about 1 to 2 minutes till tuna is heated through. Add peas and cook till just warmed through.

Serve over toasted white bread.
