SAUSAGE AND VEGETABLE POT 
2 slices bacon
2 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 lb. smoked sausage
3 c. water
Chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
5 med. carrots, chopped
1 med. turnip, cubed
5 med. potatoes, chunked
1 sm. cabbage

Brown bacon in 4-quart cooker, add onion and celery. Simmer 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add water, sausage, parsley, salt and pepper. Over low heat, simmer 20 minutes. Add carrots, turnip and potatoes. Cover, simmer 12 minutes. Put cabbage over top, cover and cook 15 minutes.
