CRUNCHY COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. cornflakes
1/4 c. chopped pecans

Cream together butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in oatmeal, cornflakes and pecans. Use 1/4 cup mixture for each cookie.

Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes or until brown.
