CRUNCHIE PECAN COOKIES 
1 c. melted butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
2 c.sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine butter, sugars, egg and flavoring; beat about 3 minutes. Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture. Add pecans and stir in. Shape in long roll. Chill several hours. Slice thin and bake on ungreased tin at 400°F for about 10 minutes. Dough will keep in refrigerator several weeks.

Makes 3 dozen.
