HONEY APPLE NUT BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. honey
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. canned applesauce

Cream shortening, honey and eggs together. Beat until light. Mix in dry ingredients alternately with applesauce. Add nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Delicious sliced then and spread with the following mixture.

Let 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese soften. Add 1 tablespoon of maraschino cherry juice. Cream to spreading consistency.
