APPLE NUT CRUNCH BREAD 
1 c. cooking oil
3 c. flour
2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. peeled, cored, chopped apples
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (pecans are best)
1/4 tsp. mace OR dash of cinnamon, nutmeg AND cloves

Pan sizes: DO NOT GREASE!! 2 (8 1/2x4 1/2 inch) OR 3 (7 3/8x5 3/8 inch) OR 5 (3x5 inch).

TOPPING:

Mix 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle on top before baking. OR: Pour or brush the following topping over bread after baking and while hot.

3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. milk

Boil exactly 2 1/2 minutes and pour over breads while hot.

To mix cake: Blend, do not beat. If you beat the batter, it will go flat.

Blend oil, sugar, eggs, vanilla in large mixing bowl. Mix dry ingredients: flour, soda, salt and spices. Dredge apples and nuts with flour mixture. Add to liquids and carefully blend. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
