JAM ROLLS
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast (rapid rise)
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, room temp. slightly beaten
2 tbsp. jam
Powdered sugar glaze

Set aside 1 cup flour. In a large bowl, mix remaining flour, salt, and yeast. Heat water, milk, butter to 125-130 degrees. Stir into dry mixture. Mix in egg and only enough reserved flour to make soft dough. Knead 4 minutes. Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each into 15 inch rope. On greased baking sheet, loosely coil ropes; cover. Place large, shallow pan on counter, half filled with boiling water. Place baking sheet over pan. Let dough rise 20 minutes. Make indentation in center of rolls; fill with 1/2 teaspoon jam. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, or until done. Cool on wire rack. Drizzle with glaze.
