OKRA 
3 slices bacon, fried, drained, reserving 3 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 c. sliced okra
1 lg. onion, cut in half, top to bottom, sliced
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 c. sliced green pepper
1 c. peeled, chopped fresh tomato
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper

In a large skillet put the reserved bacon drippings, the okra, onion, green pepper and tomato. Crush the Italian seasoning and sprinkle over vegetables and add sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until vegetables are done to your taste. Place in serving dish, crumble bacon on top and pig out. You will double this the next time.
