CHOW MEIN (PORK) 
1 lb. lean pork, cubed
1/4 c. butter
1 c. (each) finely chopped onions, thinly sliced celery
1 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 can mixed Chinese vegetables, well drained

Brown meat in butter; add onions, celery and seasonings. Add hot water, vegetables and heat to boiling. Add the following after mixing together:

2 tbsp. cold water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar

Serve over rice with chow mein noodles.
