EXTRA SPECIAL ROLLS 
2 pkgs. yeast
3 tbsp. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour, divided
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter, softened

Dissolve yeast in water. Let stand 5 minutes. Add sugar, shortening, eggs, 1 cup warm water, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat at low speed 1 minute. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Let rise.

Punch dough down and divide into fourths. Roll each into a circle and cut into wedges. After brushing with butter, place on greased baking sheet. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees, 10-12 minutes.
