ORANGE SUGAR COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Sift together. 1 c. sugar

Cream well. Slowly add to previous mixture. Blend in 1 tablespoon grated orange rind and 1/4 cup orange juice. Gradually add dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Chill 1 hour. Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut as desired. Bake on ungreased sheets at 400 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes until delicately browned. Brush with coffee glaze (see below).

COFFEE GLAZE:

Combine in a saucepan:

1/3 c. strong coffee or 1 tsp. instant coffee, dissolved in 1/3 c. water
1/4 c. honey

Bring to a boil. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Brush glaze over warm cookies, then sprinkle immediately with 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Let stand until glaze is dry before storing.
