RAISIN CREAM SCONES | |
1 1/2 c. white flour 1 c. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 tsp. ground cardamom 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. butter 2/3 c. buttermilk 1 egg 1/3 c. honey 1/4 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped nuts Preheat oven to 350 to 375 degrees. Cut butter into dry ingredients until fine and crumbly. Add wet ingredients and stir lightly. Add raisins and nuts. Knead 20 times and pat into a 9 inch circle. Cut in wedges and bake on greased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. |
