COCONUT DOBASH CAKE | |
1 box cake mix (yellow) FILLING: 1 coconut instant pudding mix FROSTING: 3 egg whites 1/3 c. light corn syrup 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 c. coconut 3/4 c. sugar Dash of salt Make cake according to instructions on box and let cool. Make pudding mix and refrigerate. Make frosting in top of double boiler; combine egg whites, corn syrup, salt and cream of tartar. Cook over boiling water. Beat with mixer for four minutes. Remove from heat and heat two more minutes. Split layers in half and fill with pudding, then spread frosting on top and sides. Sprinkle with coconut. Store in refrigerator. |
