SUPER CHIP COOKIE 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oatmeal (optional)
2 tbsp. wheat germ (optional)
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla until smooth. Combine flour, soda, salt, oatmeal and wheat germ in a medium bowl. Add gradually to butter-sugar mixture until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Grease a 13 inch round pizza pan. With a knife, spread dough evenly in a thin layer to cover the pan. (Small gaps will fill in during cooking.) Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cookie is done when it feels set and dry to the touch. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan. When completely cool, cut into 16 wedges.
