APPLE PIE
1 (20 oz.) can sliced apples
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. apple pie spice
2 tbsp. butter
2 (8") pie shells

Drain apples, saving the juice. Mix all dry ingredients. Place apples and 1/4 cup of the juice in the pie shell, sprinkle dry ingredients over the apples. Chip butter into 1/4" cubes and scatter on top. Place second pie shell over top and vent. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

butter can be substituted by using 4 teaspoons powdered butter substitute for those wanting to cut down on fat. For a more tart pie reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup and cornstarch to 2 tablespoons.
