BISHOP'S BREAD 
2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. finely chopped dates
1 c. candied cherries, cut in half
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
May add a little oil to prevent dryness

Preheat oven 325 degrees. Grease 9x5x3 loaf pan.

Combine nuts, flour, chocolate, dates and cherries in bowl. Break eggs into large mixing bowl, beat with electric mixer until lemon colored. Gradually beat in sugar until well blended.

Stir in flour mixture, blend well. Pour into pre-floured pan. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan or wire rack.
