ALMOND ORANGE BREAD 
2/3 c. honey
1/8 c. molasses
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 c. sifted pastry flour
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 tbsp. honey

Combine honey, molasses, oil and eggs. Stir in the remaining ingredients, except the almonds, 1/2 cup of the orange juice and the tablespoon of honey. Pour into an oiled loaf pan and sprinkle top with slivered almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Remove from oven and poke holes in the top and pour in the remaining 1/2 cup orange juice and 1 tablespoon honey. Let sit for 30 minutes before cutting.
