TWO - TONE COOKIES
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. dairy sour cream
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
Walnut halves

In mixing bowl cream together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Add egg; beat until fluffy. Stir in sour cream. Thoroughly stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into creamed mixture; stir in chopped nuts.

Divide dough in half; stir melted chocolate into one half. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Using remaining flour mixture without chocolate, drop rounded teaspoons next to each chocolate round. (They will bake together as one.)

Lightly press a walnut half onto each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
