LUSCIOUS PUMPKIN BREAD 
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cloves
3 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
4 eggs
2 c. mashed pumpkin
2/3 c. water

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Beat together sugar, oil and eggs until light and fluffy. Add pumpkin, and blend well. Add dry ingredients alternately to pumpkin mixture with water, beating well after each addition. Pour batter into 2 greased 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pans.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until bread tests done. Cool on racks.

Yield: 2 loaves.
