SOURDOUGH BREAD 
Starter:

1 c. flour
3/4 sugar
1 c. water
3 tbsp. potato flakes

Mix in a clean bowl; let stand for 6 hours. Add it and let stand for 3 hours; make sure the mixture bubbles up.

To Make 2 Loaves Bread:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
1 3/4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar or honey
7 to 8 c. flour
2 tsp. salt

Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Knead for 5 to 8 minutes. Cover and let stand until double in size. Take dough from bowl; cut in half. Put aside one half. Take one half of the dough and roll out on a breadboard until 1/4-inch thick. Double over and press all air from between layers. Take the two ends and double back over each other. Roll into a long roll, pinching gap together and put onto a 5 x 9 x 2-inch bread pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
