BAKED LASAGNA 
1/4 lb. each cheddar & Mozzarella cheese
1 lb. hamburger, Italian sausage, pepperoni or mixture of these
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
2 (12 oz.) cans water
1 lb. box lasagna noodles

SAUCE: (May be used for any Italian dish.) Brown meat and onions. In 2 quart saucepan, combine tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and browned meat and onions. Simmer sauce for 2 hours. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain. Grate cheeses. Layer in 9"x13" baking pan: noodles, then sauce then cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If cheese on top browns too fast, cover with foil.
