FROSTED CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans (opt.)

Mix first 3 ingredients together, set aside. Cream sugar and butter. Add egg, mix well. Stir in next 3 ingredients, alternating with dry mixture. Mix well. Add pecans. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Makes 3 dozen. Can be frosted. Great for children to help!
