BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
2 c. brown sugar
1 scant c. butter
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. spices
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 c. raisins
1 c. blackberry jam

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with cream. Add jam and raisins. Bake in large tube pan in moderate oven 45-50 minutes, or until it breaks away from sides of pan. Remove from pan when slightly cool. Serve with caramel or lemon sauce, whipped cream or plain.
