GOLDEN POUND CAKE | |
2 sticks butter, softened 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 1/2 c. sifted Swan's Down cake flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. milk 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla Cream the butter. Add the sugar, and continue beating until smooth. Stir in milk. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Stir the flour and baking powder until well blended. Grease a 13-inch loaf pan. Pour batter into pan and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 50 minutes or use a cake tester. |
