TEXAS CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda

Sift sugar, flour and salt. Bring butter, cocoa and water to boil. Beat eggs and sour cream. Add vinegar and soda to the cocoa mixture. Add flour mixture and beat.

Bake in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 cookie sheet at 325°F for 20 minutes.

Topping:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Bring butter, cocoa and milk to boil. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and chopped nuts. Spread over warm cake. (Perfect to take to family outing.)
