PINTO BEAN POT 
1 lb. pinto beans
3-4 thick slices smoked bacon
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 lb. boneless beef
1 onion, chopped fine
1/2 tsp. cumin
3 tbsp. chili powder

Wash beans and soak in hot water overnight; drain. Cover with water and add all other ingredients in heavy Dutch oven. Cook over slow heat until well done, about 3 to 4 hours.
