BASIC SWEET DOUGH 
1 c. lukewarm water milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. soft shortening

Mix above ingredients together. Crumble in package of yeast in 1/4 cup of warm milk. Stir all these ingredients together adding one or two eggs. Add 3 1/2 to 4 cups of flour to make dough easily handled. Let rise double in bulk and punch down and let rise again. NOTE: If I want a sweet dough for making sweet rolls using this same recipe, I just add more sugar.
