BEST EVER SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream together butter and sugar. Add next four ingredients.

After measuring, sift the dry ingredients together and blend with the creamed mixture.

Using clean, lightly floured hands, roll into balls slightly smaller than the size of a golf ball.

Roll in sugar and flatten the cookies with a decorative cookie marker or the bottom of a fancy bottomed glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
