GOOEY PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1 box of yellow cake mix (preferably butter add type)
1 can of pineapple rings
1 can crushed pineapple
1 can apricot halves
Maraschino cherries
1/4 to 1/3 lb. butter
1/4 lb. brown sugar
2 reg. cast iron pans (or 1 very lg. and 1 tiny)

For more or less "goo" vary the amount of butter and brown sugar.

Drain the pineapple and apricots well. Melt butter in pans, add brown sugar and mix well. Place drained rings in pan and press down. Place a cherry in each ring. Quarter the apricots and place in larger spaces. Cover all the sugared areas showing, with crushed pineapple. Press it into the sugar.

Follow instructions on box mix, but do not flour pans, merely divide batter and pour over the fruit mixture. Bake at temperature recommended on box mix. Time will not be quite the same, test with toothpick or straw. Let cool no more than 1/2 hour. Turn out onto plates or pizza pans.
