CRISP OVEN - FRIED FISH | |
1 (1 lb.) block frozen fish fillets partially thawed 1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt Few grains pepper 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. pkg. bread crumbs 1 tbsp. vegetable oil Heat oven to 500 degrees. With sharp knife cut block of fish into four 2 x 3 inch pieces. In shallow bowl beat egg with 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Coat fish with flour and tap off excess. Dip fish in beaten egg and then bread crumbs, turning to coat evenly on all sides. Sprinkle coated fish with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and place pieces 3 inches apart on a rack over baking pan. Drizzle oil over each piece and bake 15-20 minutes, until crust is crisp and golden. |
