CHINESE BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3 lb. fresh pork spareribs
1 1/2 c. soy sauce
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar or honey
1 tbsp. sherry wine

Wash and remove as much gristle and fat from ribs as possible and dry with towel. Place all the above ingredients in large deep bowl and mix thoroughly. Place ribs in bowl and mix well. Set. Soak in sauce for 10 minutes or longer turning ribs occasionally so flavor soaks in evenly. Place ribs on broiler and broil both sides until brown and cooked.
