OPEN JAR DILLS 
Cucumbers
2 qts. water
1 qt. vinegar
1 heaping tbsp. pickling spices
1 scant c. salt
3 c. sugar
Onions, sliced
Dill

Heat water, spices, vinegar, salt and sugar. Pour over cucumbers, onions and dill that have been layered in a 2 gallon container. Keep refrigerated.
