1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/4 c. flour (no more)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix butter and sugars together; add eggs and beat well. Add oil and vanilla and beat again. Mix dry ingredients together, then add to other mixture. Roll dough into small tablespoon size balls. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Press flat with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 12 to 13 dozen.

You can dip glass in colored sugar or cinnamon sugar for variety.
