EASY SUGAR COOKIES | |
1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. granulated sugar 1 c. butter flavor oil (for best results use butter flavor) 1 c. butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 4 c. plus 4 tbsp. flour (heaping) 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter, sugars and oil until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift flour, soda and salt, cream of tartar. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well, form into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Press flat with glass that has been dipped in sugar with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Sugar clings better if glass is dipped in water and shaken free of excess water. One half of the recipe makes about six dozen cookies. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. |
