CHOCOLATE CARAMELS | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 c. corn syrup 1 c. cream 1 tsp. vanilla 3 squares unsweetened chocolate I substitute 2 tablespoons of cocoa and 1 tablespoon oil for each square of chocolate. To chocolate, add sugar, butter, syrup and cream. Cover, boil 5 minutes. Uncover, boil slowly, stirring constantly to firm ball stage, 240 degrees. Remove from heat add vanilla. Pour into buttered 6x10 inch pan. Cool. Cut into 3/4 inch squares. Wrap in wax paper. |
