CHERRY STRIP CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. warm water
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix together baking soda and warm water. Mix brown sugar, flour and oatmeal together. Add egg and melted butter and water and baking soda. Mix well. Press 3/4 of dough into greased 13"x9" pan. Put in cherry pie filling. Drop rest of dough over pie filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Frost with icing of your choice.
