2 c. warm water 2 pkg. yeast 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs, beaten 6 tbsp. oil or 1 stick butter 5 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour Mix water, yeast and sugar. Then add the other ingredients. Add flour in divided amounts (you may not need all 5 1/2 cups. Make dough consistency of bubble gum). Let rise until double in a warm place with the bowl covered. Punch down and cool in refrigerator until needed, keeping covered. Make out rolls at least 2 hours before cooking. Grease muffin tins. Cover your fingers with oil and pinch off a piece of dough about the size of a walnut. Place two of these in each tin. Let rise 2 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. |
