CHOCOLATE BUTTERSWEETS 
COOKIE:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 1 1/4 c. flour

FILLING:

3 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut

FROSTING:

1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar

For Cookie: Cream butter; add sugar, salt, and vanilla; cream well. Gradually add flour. Shape by teaspoonfuls into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press hole in center of each. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Fill while warm.

Filling: Soften cream cheese. Blend in confectioners sugar, flour and vanilla. Blend well. Stir in walnuts and coconut.

Frosting: Melt chocolate, butter and water over low heat, stirring often. Add sugar; beat until smooth. Drizzle over filled cookie. Makes 36 cookies.
