TRICKY CHOCOLATE TREATS | |
COOKIE: 2/3 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. unsifted all purpose flour 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/3 c. milk 8 oz. pkg. Reese's Pieces candy Chocolate frosting (below) FROSTING: 1 c. confectioner's sugar 3 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa 3 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla Cookie: Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy; blend in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Stir in 1/2 cup Reese's Pieces candy. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes until set, but not dry. Cool slightly, remove to rack. Frost cooled cookies with chocolate frosting, decorate with remaining 1/2 c. Reese's Pieces. About 3 dozen cookies. Frosting: Combine sugar and cocoa, set aside. Cream butter in small mixing bowl, add cocoa mixture alternately with milk, beating to spreading consistency. Blend in vanilla. |
