1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sour milk or 2 tsp. vinegar in sweet milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 1/4 c. flour

Cream sugar and butter. Dissolve soda in sour milk and add. Sift dry ingredients together and add. Stir. If real thick, add 2 tablespoons cold water. Pour in pan, about 7x11 inches. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees about 20-30 minutes. Eaten as a hot bread.
