CHICKEN AND RICE HOTDISH 
2 or 3 lbs. chicken pieces
2 c. raw brown or long grain white rice
2 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. dry onion soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Grease 9x13 inch pan with butter. Spread rice evenly on bottom of dish, add 1 cup water. Place chicken on rice and sprinkle with paprika and onion soup. Mix mushroom soup with remaining 1 1/2 cups water and pour over chicken. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees, covered. Remove cover and bake 1/2 hour longer.
