MAPLE APPLE CRISP 
8 tart sweet baking apples, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch wedges
1/4 c. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon (divided)
1/3 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. unsalted butter, cut into bits
3 tbsp. wheat germ
1/2 c. rolled oats

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 9x13 dish with butter.

Toss apples, syrup and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon into dish. Sprinkle walnuts over apples, set aside.
