BREAD PUDDING 
2 c. cubed bread
1 qt. baking dish
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
Dash salt
1/4-1/2 c. raisins

Bring milk, butter and sugar to scalding. Beat slightly 2 eggs and dash of salt. Stir into warm milk with 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over bread cubes. Mix with 1/4 to 1/2 cup raisins. Set baking dish in another pan, filling water to reach pudding level. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees, knife comes out clean. Makes 4-6 servings.
