CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
2 1/2 c. tomatoes
1 tbsp. minced onion
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Combine in a saucepan and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Strain, put aside.

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk

Melt butter, blend in flour and salt. Add milk. Cook, stirring until mixture boils and thickens. Mix tomato mixture into milk sauce. Heat thru.
