ANNIE'S CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
3 tbsp. butter
2 green onions, sliced
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 (16 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, pureed
2 c. milk
2 c. chicken or beef broth
Optional: macaroni, hot dogs, frozen peas or corn

1. Saute green onions in butter in a heavy saucepan.

2. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and baking soda.

3. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Return to heat and slowly bring to a boil. Serve immediately. Serves 4 to 6.
