CREAM CHEESE PASTRY 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
5-6 tbsp. cold water

Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening and cream cheese with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle cold water (1 tablespoon at a time) evenly over surface; stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Shape into a ball; chill. Yield: pastry for 1 double crust pie.
